I think it doesn’t look very relevant of writing about Steve on this blog but this one crossed my limits and couldn’t hold on to write this one.Continue reading if you dont like Steve . Few days back on Nov 15 ,England played against Austria at Vienna. The match as expected was won by England but this lead to few stumbles for England’s coach.Steve intially thought that he would win this one with far more goals and oppurtunities which will in case boost morale for Englishmen. So without much of thoughts and talks he makes full strength team against the team for which Eng 21 wont have bother to play. But still he continues and what all feared happens.A damn bad Injury!.. After Saturday’s amazing second half display, SAF must be a happy man. Not only because of our 6 consecutive victories in the League, or the 8 consecutive clean sheets victories UCL games included, but most of all because of the international break.
A much needed break for ManU.
ManU has been one of the biggest victims in this season start when it comes to injuries, with almost a complete squad sidelined and this week could be the first time Alex actually IS happy because of an international break. Most of the time this means that OT is almost empty and between 15 and 20 players leave Manchester to train with and play for their national team, but this time things are different.
This time many players won’t play in their national kit, but will enjoy the almost two weeks to recover from injury and return entirely fit for the clash with Aston Villa on Saturday 20th October.

After weeks of speculations regarding his colorful career, now former Welsh captain Ryan Giggs finally called it quits after playing his final game with a draw against Chelsea. Giggs had the chance to exit in style but his trademark goal failed to hit its mark. Giggs exited to a standing ovation and passed on the armband to Craig Bellamy.
Giggs will no longer be around when his team faces the Czech Republic. Giggs will sorely be missed and remembered for all his contributions and memorable part in the Manchester United organization.
“Obviously it’s been emotional this week, saying goodbye to everyone,” Giggs said after the game. “I’ve enjoyed it, it’s been great and I wish the lads all the best in the future. It was a shame I couldn’t have gone off with a win but the fans have been great from day one right to the end.” – International Reds in Action

The sad thing about enjoying the game of football is seeing players giving it their all, regardless of whom they are playing for. But for Ryan Giggs, the choice to make a stand on whether to continue to play competitively and satisfy all his teams or focus on one league only is expected to be the major part of his expected announcement regarding the international scene.

From all indications, this season’s Euro 2008 Qualifiers seem to be his last hurrah and Welsh will be deeply saddened by his departure. Playing for the United Reds alone has its own share of wear and tear on the body and its mental aspect and Giggs is expected to stick with the Reds to uphold the winning tradition until his last game is played.
It is truly nostalgic to hear such developments but some people just have to decide on up to what extent their bodies and minds can sustain the abuse it can receive to maintain the competitive level they are known for.

Perhaps now it can be seen as to why the United Reds have been branded one of the most talented and sophisticated lineups assembled to compete in the various European leagues. Most of the players have returned to their mother teams to get a crack at the Euro 2008 qualifiers and a lot of them have come from the United Reds lineup.

Among the names to be heard include that of Wes Brown, Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick and Alan Smith are among the top names being mentioned. A fifth player, Wayne Rooney was supposed to be included but is serving suspension.
Their next opponent is Brazil. While Brazil is not expected to be a pushover, the chemistry and alliance of these players who have been playing together under the United Reds is an advantage on its own. Once they take the field at Wembley Stadium, expect the games to rock along with the fans following them intently as the game kicks off.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been reportedly tapped by his country Norway to compete in the coming Euro 2008 qualifiers this coming June. Solskjaer compiled a total of 11 goals, serving notice why he is among the best strikers of the United Reds in the game and an asset that can truly help in Norway’s cause.

This time around, Solskjaer will make sure he does not miss the bus to Norway for the qualifiers. He had previously missed the other tournaments due to various injuries that had made him unable to compete and maintain his effectiveness. But at the way things look at the moment, everything seems to be a go and Solskjaer seems hell bent to make up for the times he was unable to contribute to his country’s cause.
With his inclusion in the Norway lineup, this is expected to boost the moral of the team. He is known to average at least 1 goal in his three international appearances.

The elements are there and with their accomplishment detailed right before them, everything seems to be in place for the current stars of the United Reds team towards impending superstardom. However, it takes more than just one championship to categorize them in the legendary status that they are aiming for. Winning tradition is the key and for Dutch Stopper Edwin van der Sar, this is achievable.

“You do not become a legend overnight – you have to win things over a long period,” insists van der Sar. “The players have shown their ability this season. Every game has been important for us and we’ve shown we have been up for every one.
“Every player selected for Saturday or Tuesday or Wednesday has had to perform and we have not had to carry any one.
“Chelsea were so well ahead in the previous seasons. But this season, we have been playing well enough to cope with anything that has been put in our way.
“The squad is well positioned to achieve something special,” adds the 36-year-old. “It takes a long time to work towards something like this but now the team must go on.
“It is not just about winning something once but two or three times and that is the challenge.” – Starlets can become legends
Hence to sum it all up, it is for the current roster of the United Reds to gain or lose. Everything is under their hands.

In the same way that Chelsea experienced the same ovation for their brave effort in 2005, the same was now in turn given to the United Reds in their 0-0 standoff with Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge Pitch. It is a fact that the Reds are ailing and paying tribute to the heroic efforts by the left players emphasizing on team play lead by Wes Brown, there is nothing better than to receive due recognition for the efforts of the remaining players of the powerhouse club.

Defense was the name of the game between the match of the Reds and Chelsea and this was typified as both failed to score a goal for the tight defense both teams applied. Chelsea had a change to score a goal in the end game, but thanks to the combined efforts of the Reds’ players, they were able to hold off any offensive from Chelsea.
“It was a difficult game for us,” he added. “Both sides didn’t play their strongest teams, but we have come out with a respectable draw.
“It was [a strange game]. There was a few lads in from the reserves and some players played out of position. We’ve not played together all season, so to come to Chelsea we had to play well. I thought we relly stuck together.
“Chelsea put a lot of pressure on us towards the end of the game. It looked like they might nick a goal at the end, but we managed to hold on and kept on defending.” –Wes Brown: Wes praises Blues gesture
