Posted August 29th, 2008 by Redhead in Match Preview, Why MU is the Greatest
Venue: Stade Louis II,
Kick-off: 1945 BST
For me this match will be my first live super cup.I started watching United play in December 2000 so i wasnt privileged of watching any of the great matches of 1999 or 2000. :( .
Today’s game will be third super cup match under Fergie’s management.
Pundits predict that United are quite weak compared to full form Zenith.Zenith’s recent matches have been noteworthy and are going to make tough night for United. But on the better side,Hargo and Gary Neville are returning to team.Gary makes his first competitive debut after losing his place in team with his injury.
Hargreaves is all fit and wants to make a come-back in team. Continue reading »

Monday United travel to Fratton Park to play their first away game against Newcastle. Our kick off was really poor compared to what came from first day of the season. So this game has lead my mind with an pessimistic approach.
We are still with lot of our first team players so we can except one or two reserve team players.Giggs and Carrick both are sidelined with their injuries during last week.Tevez will be partnering Rooney after missing his first game due to internationals.Atleast his presence will do us all good.Anderson too is back in squad which makes us think less with mid-field.I think Fergie is left with no options but to take few of is new boys for today’s match. OMG!! What a performance by Chelsea. They get their easy win against Portsmouth and now its our turn against Newcastle. The shocking news is that Tevez isn’t playing. He’s not even in team.Reasons are still not cleared for his absence but on good note Rooney is back in team.
We are starting with Rooney and Campbell ahead.Fletcher as predicted is playing as Ronaldo while Carrick and Scholes are in center.
Brown is playing in place of Neville.
More updates will be up over here.

Marching from first game!!
That too without Rooney and Ronaldo. For me the bad part was that i missed the first half and also the game was aired at Sony PiX which ruined my mood with ESPN.Always enjoyed BPL matches over there.
With the game. Continue reading »

The curtain raiser of the season is finally here. The match is between two teams who have known each other quite well after playing dozens of matches in past.
United are still not sure what will be they doing for this set-up as Fergie looks totally bother less and seemingly uninterested with the game.”It’s always a game we never quite use as a do-or-die thing, we use it as a barometer for fitness” said Fergie.
Keeping in mind that last year Portsmouth had an edge Continue reading »

Sorry with the late preview.
Last taken down by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge today United will try moving an inch forward to the table.Chelsea’s last match saw both team levelled at points and only goal difference separating Gaints.
Hammers have always been a Jinx to play and its hard to get want they are coming out Continue reading »

The Champions League glory looking so close after long time for United.Drawing at Nou Camp, its Barca turn to travel at OT for their second league, the only competition they are bound to.The defeat in La Liga and their superiors winning each,it is more decisive for Barca to strike for gold as hard as they can.
The first leg game was indeed a poor one in terms of their standards but tonight will surely be a night to be looked upon.Fergie isn’t being careless this time Continue reading »

United playing today for Title as for Chelsea saving the title.
The deciding game finally coming up… United take charge at Stanmford Bridge against blues to reclaim their title back this season.Fruitless matches going in hands with both the teams where they could have pulled out better results.Chelsea and United are right the only teams running parallel in UFEA and EPL. Yesterday the first day of Champions League finished with Chelsea and Liverpools both passing to next stage.Chelsea made out easy with 2 goals with lazy Ballack scoring first one within first 3 minutes. That did suprise me a lot.He hardly moves..There was even more suprises at Anfield. The Scousers went on scoring 4 goals against Gunners with one sloopy penalty.Just looking at Wenger that day,i felt he might go and cut everyones guts out.Man he was even hotter than Scarlett that day.It was nice to see that all Gunners lived today atleast to see United’s triumph this season :).Right now its season closed for Mr Wenger and i dont see them getting even closer to Chelsea or United.
Now moving to our match Continue reading »

United facing Middlesbrough on saturday away from home.Since our last win over Romans at their home, the confidence with our lads is more then ever.Last weeks,Ronney-Ronaldo ripping of Roma’s Tees its our away form that has been seen in consideration. The glory times are now back for us and the cup seems hell closer then ever.We already have a safe 5 point lead which will remain if consistent wins are possible.
