But the enthusiasm is not being relegated to fans. Even the members of the team are becoming increasingly optimistic about their chances for a record fourth consecutive championship. And no one is more optimistic than Manchester United Captain Gary Neville, who has been quoted as saying “It is in our hands now and it has not been like that for a while.”

Key to the Red Devils’ success if Wayne Rooney’s amazing run this season. Rooney has been on fire and is ably replacing the void that Cristiano Ronaldo has left. the striker has already scored his 23rd goal this season, which already equals his career best.

Neville wants the Red Devils to maintain their winning form, which is needed now more than ever as they prepare to play AC Milan in the Champions League.

All eyes are now on Nani, who has been playing extremely well in their last few games. If Nani gets his groove, he’ll be a perfect partner to Rooney.

Certainly a mixed feeling from everyone following EPL whether Ronaldo should stay or not with United. There are guys which in my wildest dream has said that they want Ronaldo to stay.Wenger is one of them and thats a bit odd story to see.Arsenal were surely going to clinch last year’s title but consistent goals from Ronaldo and team made United’s title an easy job.See thats the influence this man carries. He was the main man in the destruction of their dreams and still they like him to stay around.Moving from this there’s something more that came around to me.

As the temptation of Real over Ronaldo is rising, the heat between these to clubs has turned into flames.Fergie and Glazers had their words about Ronaldo sitting on bench if they have to but now The Real Prez has come forward to talk this open.I will jot down according to sequence the things happened.

1) First Sparks erupt after United won their CL title with little help of Ronaldo and so he gets spotted in Real’s eye.

2)Real’s Prez,Ramon Calderon says that they won’t bid or talk with Ronaldo if United doesn’t give permission.

3)When they learnt that Ronny had a dream they come out and say that every boy should follow his dream.

4) Real’s Manager thinks that they would be happy to pay 100 million euros for the Portuguese

4)Ramon Calderon says 100 is too much , they can bid 80m$ and also provide Ronaldo a 75million contract or do some swapping or something.

5) Now they are getting angry and asking him to speak out clean whether he wants to or not.

The extended story for this part is that if Real wants Ronaldo they have to compensate a lot of things.First is that they need to make a deal which more than a feast to United and Glazers.Once they agree on that they can move on the next requests. If its not for swapping then the bid should be somewhere around 75-80 million $ which is somewhere prefect.A little less as Real will itself this much within 1 year merchandising stuffs with Ronaldo and t-shirts.There’s also a little more related to Real’s path to Ronaldo over here.

Second if they are swapping then the possible ones are Wesley Sneijder,Robinho or Sergio Ramos. They are surely not letting Sneijder move out of their camp as they declared that, i m not sure whats with Ramos and Robinho.Nistelrooy could also be a better one too.A lot of options.Which ones are on the offloading section is still not sure.

United will only make the transfer if they are going to sign someone of equal caliber as Ronaldo.Right now to match Ronaldo’s standard,Messi or Kaka are the only substitutes. But getting one from the German pair of Podolski or winger Bastian Schweinsteiger will be nice .Besides United are keen in signing couple of strikers this season so its less to see one more mid-fielder in this saturated section.

This are the possible things that are going to happen in this controversial transfer.

Lets see what more updated are we getting. Its rock-solid from Fergie that they won’t let their players go for cheap. You make them with hardwork and its no right of others to get them with mere money power. There was lot to learn from Nistelrooy’s incident where we could have bagged more than what we were offered to.There’s no point crying back and rather look forward to improve the future.

Thats where this bullshit ends.I will keep u updated what latest is happening with him.

Besides right CR is right now on vacation with new girl friend,Nereida Gallardo smokin’ hot.

Many might be thinking that this leg is far from over.It wont even be exciting. But the twist to this tale has been made from the Boro’ match. We are going to see a far better match than Boro’ and by far will go into one of the most exciting matches of season. Roma are without their star Totti but there are more things to worry about us.They are making sure that they are utlizing every oppurutinity they can have and will try to shake things up.They know how easy it can be to penetrate United’s defense without Vidic and Ferdinand and we are sure that they won’t miss with this.

If we still to few plans we still can make it out easy.So easy that it will help us recover from this ongoing misery.

1) First and foremost thing, start the game with Rooney and Tevez.Well even though Tevez was a flop show at Riverside,he has all reasons to stay in this match. He’s top scorer at Trafford and he has hardly missed over here.Saha’s out of race and Rooney has seen moving to flanks couple of times. These are few reasons that an urgency of a clinical striker arises. If we want to win stick with Tevez. No Ronaldo striking business!!

2) Second,Scholes and Carrick are another ones which should be unaltered. They two by far are looking best pair in mid.Boro’ match showed their syncs and understanding. They both have massive experience in terms with such massive games. You wont like Anderson goofing around for balls.Though admire his talent and how brilliant he has been for times but i still don’t think he’s man for the Italian job.My instinct tell me that Fergie will bring him in line-ups for a reason to boost his morale at home.He can be fine if he sticks on quicks passes and long balls. But for last aviod him..

3)Wings.Ronaldo on wings has no substitute. The adjectives for him have saturated and its no complain zone from this guy.Let him play at wings and he will produce exactly same result what we saw few years back against Roma(GOD save Roma if he plays at wings). On the opposite side,Park will be my man.I don’t why Fergie doesn’t insist on starting with Park but its high time that he moves of the sub list.Giggs is not at all an option. He can do well if he comes on after 60-70 minute play. Then we can see the real Giggs for sure.!!This will be the fragile and most important part apart from Center back’s.

4)The only area where we are no where. But its easy if we think it other way.Wing backs can be worked with Evra and Hargreaves. We have seen decent stuff from Hargo and i am sure he can do well.Still if Fergie has thoughts of getting him as Sweeper Gary can be brought instead. But would recommend him playing similar role to Giggs. He still needs to get extra time start with team. With the center backs, please avoid O’Shea at center!! Thats the best i can say.Ferdinand is on brink of recovery and we can expect him to show up.But lets play safe and avoid this one when there are even more harsh games coming up.Brown and Pique will do great. Both of them have fine matches and starting them will be a decent choice.Pique has pace and Ariel which our friend O’Shea is missing. Its not that i don’t enjoy him but he only tends to perform when he’s on side with Ferdinand or Vida.Otherwise he displays sloppy match.Brown has received constant admiration from me and i wont see any other guy expect for him right now.

5) We can rest Van De Sar.Tomaz Kuszack sure can do well against Roma. He’s been impressive and resting Van De Sar will be good. Its an option though. So my final formation will go more like this.

———————————–EDVS/TK—————————————–

EVRA——————-BROWN————-PIQUE————————HARGO

PARK——————-SCHOLES———-CARRICK———————-RONALDO

————————ROONEY————-TEVEZ

We surely can pull off an easy one if this is the plan!! Match Preview coming up in few minutes.Bye Guys!!!

Manchester United v/s Fulham

Old Trafford
Monday, 3 December
Kick-off 2000 GMT

Shaky match against Bolton and Last minute goal against Sporting Lisbon has made United’s premier league dreams diaphanous on few minds.Well it doesn’t go with me for this one.United are playing against Fulham this Monday at Old Trafford... I doubt at even United making draws. This is a sure win.Wazza is playing is comeback match. We are aware of his supernatural powers and his comeback performance which will make matters worse for Fulham to even clinch a point. This time no International calls or any more tired players.100% fit and ready for action.Ronnie has taken over Rooney for top scorer in terms for United after Rooney injuring himself and is likely to add few more in his bags with tonights game.On other hand Fulham will see many of their vital players out of their team.Phillipe Christanval, Kasey Keller, Lee Cook, Ian Pearce, Brian McBride, Simon Elliot and Jimmy Bullard are amongst the few.

Fulham are right now 10 places behind United after Liverpool took over the United’s position with win against Wanderers.United are currently on fourth place with equal points and goal difference with Liverpool.Win in today’s match puts us back behind Arsenal’s Ass :)

My prediction

United 3-0 Fulham
As for Patrice Evra, there’s no chance of leaving him. After departure of Gabriel Heinze he’s the only left back remaining for first place in team. With his recent form and match-ing with performance at Champions league and Premier League there’s no doubt that Fergie’s leaves him unsatisfied. It is said that his new five-year-deal which is reportedly worth £15m.Evra is enjoying is part at United with Fans loving his every commitment and hard tackles.

Evra signed contract with Manchester United for reported 5.5m euros from AS MONACO in 2006 transfer season.

After the ManU – Reading FC game it is rather obvious that we will see several chances in SAF’s selection for the away game against Portsmouth FC, at Trafford Park.

There is no doubt that after Brown’s impressive game on Sunday and the rather pitiful game of our belovest Frenchmen, AKA Mikael Silvestre, latter will get axed from the squad and we’ll see Evra return to his favored left-back position. With it still being too early to see Neville make his return, our defense will be traditional with Ferdinand – Vidic in the center and Brown and Evra on the backs, both allowed to move forward.

In the midfield, Owen will be a starter, because we need his bite, especially on away games. Owen isn’t scared to go there with hurts and both his pace and his penetration force will help us during the expected midfield battle at Trafford Park. Owen and Carrick will be lined up next to each other, both covering the defensive midfield, alterningly showing their offensive audacity.
With 3 games in 8 days I expect that Scholes will be given some rest, but this time I am not going to gamble on Anderson being a starter. But I think he’ll surely get some time on the pitch tomorrow. While Scholes plays, we’ll see a 4-2-3-1 setup, with Ronaldo and Giggs playing wide. When Anderson takes Scholes place we’ll move to a more conventional 4-4-2 with Giggs moving forward next to Tevez, who will replace Roon in front.
Moving Giggs more forward will also easierly allow to bring in Nani when needed.

Lineup: VDS, Brown, Rio, Vidic, Evra, Hargreaves, Carrick, Ronaldo, Scholes, Giggs, Tevez.
Subs: Kuszczak, O’Shea, Fletcher, Nani, Anderson.

Prediction: 0 – 2.

It’s your turn now.

The last week has been rather quiet, but not less eventfull than the weeks before. On Wednesday 2 ManU selections has friendly run-outs against Dunfermline FC and Glentoran, in Scotland. Both games were easily won, all while both SAF and Cristiano stayed at home.
On Friday Tevez’s move FINALLY got FINALIZED and the Argentinian is expected to make his debut next Sunday in the Manchester derby, against Sven’s new squad.
Gaby still is part of our squad, but Rafa thinks he can soon come to a deal, all while SAF said that there is definitely a role and game time for Heinze at ManU.

But all in all, everything this week was focused on the Premier League start of the Season, against Reading tomorrow.
Earlier in the week the squad numbers, and our full squad so far, were announced and our squad IS IMPRESSIVE!

Goal: Edwin Van der Sar (1) – Ben Foster (12) – Tomasz Kuszczak (29)

Defense: Gary Neville (2) – Nemanja Vidic (15) – Rio Ferdinand (5) – Patrice Evra (3) – Gabriel Heinze (14) – Gerard Pique (19) – John O’Shea (22) – Mikael Silvestre (27) – Wes Brown (6) – Jonny Evans (23) – Danny Simpson (25) – Phil Bardsley (26) – Kieran Lee (35) – David Gray (36)

Midfield: Ryan Giggs (11) – Park Ji-Sung (13) – Michael Carrick (16) – Paul Scholes (18) – Owen Hargreaves (4) – Luis Nani (17) – Cristiano Ronaldo (7) – Anderson (8) – Darren Fletcher (24) – Darron Gibson (28) – Lee Martin (30) – Chris Eagles (33)Michael Barnes (42)

Attack: Wayne Rooney (10) – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (20) – Carlos Tevez (32) – Louis Saha (9) – Fraizer Campbell (39)

SAF’s biggest problem this season obviously will be the wide and large squad and the huge number of internationals. Our attack might only be 4 members strong, but we certainly have the most offensive midfield on the whole planet to boost the numbers of goals this season. For the game against Reading, SAF may feel blessed that some reputable ManU players aren’t ready, fit enough yet to be featured already and this will certainly ease the selection problems for Fergie. I predict a classic line-up for tomorrow, with only Neville and Paul Scholes missing from last year’s tested and proven lineup. I expect Nani to debut from the first minute at OT, to be eventually replaced by Scholes later in the game. Although I’ld love to see get Tevez a place on the bench and eventually get 2-3 minutes at the end of the game to taste OT, I don’t see this happen yet.

Lineup VDS, Brown, Rio, Vidic, Evra, Hargreaves, Carrick, Nani, Giggs, Rooney, Ronaldo.
Subs: Kuszczak, O’Shea, Fletcher, Scholes, Anderson.

Prediction: 3-0 (and I placed a sweet bet at 7/1 on this result).

I am already going to publish my pre-season Top 5 prediction for next term, even though the transfer window isn’t closed yet. But all the teams are back at work and in only four weeks it’s time for the Charity Shield. Another reason is that it’s really boring to continue posting about the Tevez saga.
Here we go.

Champions: Manchester United.
Our squad for next season is incredibly strong. And that doesn’t depend on Tevez’s arrival. All positions are covered by internationals and every player will have to fight to play on Saturday. Even our second team consists of almost all international players. We have a very creative team with a healthy mix of experience and age, even though we might feature one of the youngest squads in the League.

Even our young players already have many years of experience at the top level and lads such as Rooney, Ronaldo and Owen all know when they need to push, need to take the game in hands.

Runner-up: Liverpool.
I’ll admit that Rafa impresses me right at the moment. He’s been very active during the transfer period so far and has spent his money wisely on younger players and at the same time signed new long term deals for Gerrard and Carragher, assuring continuity and experience.
Much to my surprise, Benitez has continued investing in young talents and if he manages to finally bring in talented youngsters in the first team, I think Liverpool will be the surprise next term and finish on #2. Several points behind us, but maybe we’ll have a genuine opponent in the seasons after.

Third: Chelsea.
Mourinho, who obviously had no high transfer budget available, has done everything except adding new quality his season’s squad. Further signings aren’t planned either and Arjen Robben looks on his way out too. Remember how firm Mourinho used to be last season when he remembered everyone about Drogba’s existing contract? Nowadays, all he says about Robben is that he wishes he stays. Not much optimism there.

Chelsea’s signings are all but impressive. No new name is an improvementto the squad.
Every Prem outsider will think Sidwho? I don’t understand how Mourinho believes that Pizarro, who hardly managed it to claim his spot in a struggling Bayern Munich squad could add quality at Stamford Bridge. Malouda won’t become a second surprise like Essien, and expect Ballack to fight back this season. Michael is a fighter and probably has adapted to the Prem’s pace now and to his role at Chelsea, having less freedom than before. Sheva will score, but he just doesn’t fit the hard working Chelsea stylem he needs more space than one gets in the Prem. Another problem for Sheva is that Drogba dominates much more in the air and with Cole back (and Robben/Malouda/SWP) that will be an important factor for Chelsea.

Only if everyone is fit for 50+ Chelsea has a chance to compete with Liverpool for #2, but that’s a dream. Expect a new manager at Stamford Bridge before March 08.

Fourth: Tottenham.
If there has been one surprise over the last two seasons, it was Martin Jol. Jol has installed an attractive game at White Heart Lane and shown his ambition during the transfer period.
If Tottenham’s defense can improve/stabilize, they might be able to qualify for CL this time. And who knows, maybe even compete for third.

Fifth: Arsenal
I think Wenger’s golden period has ended. One of the problems Wenger every year again has to deal with is his ego. He might be a brilliant manager, but last 2 season’s have proven that his influence on his stars smaller, perturbing even, is once they have matured and grown an own voice. Think Cole, Pires and now Gallas. And Robin Van Persie, who might become their key player next term, surely isn’t a lad who will remain quiet. Expect some bust-ups between those two.
Unless Wenger brings some more talents, but most of all \experience to the Emirates Stadium, I predict a dark future for Arsenal, especially if Spurs and Liverpool continue to improve.

The sad thing about enjoying the game of football is seeing players giving it their all, regardless of whom they are playing for. But for Ryan Giggs, the choice to make a stand on whether to continue to play competitively and satisfy all his teams or focus on one league only is expected to be the major part of his expected announcement regarding the international scene.

From all indications, this season’s Euro 2008 Qualifiers seem to be his last hurrah and Welsh will be deeply saddened by his departure. Playing for the United Reds alone has its own share of wear and tear on the body and its mental aspect and Giggs is expected to stick with the Reds to uphold the winning tradition until his last game is played.

It is truly nostalgic to hear such developments but some people just have to decide on up to what extent their bodies and minds can sustain the abuse it can receive to maintain the competitive level they are known for.
