Today the first Quarter finals kicks with the an interesting set up between Football’s biggest team. Today’s fixture was my semi finals prediction and thanks to Croatia that i manage to see it early. So cheering with that i will plot out facts for today’s clash.
The last time these teams met was way back in 2006 world cup for 3rd place playoff. But that time the home game advantage and Schweinsteiger karasmatic 2 goals made the difference and Germans went on winning the game with 3-1 victory. But this time it all looks different. The game aint home anymore.

Portugal’s recent years have been more successful than any other teams landing closer and closer to finals.Scolari’s improvement with team kept on progressing and progressing and now what he has his currently the finest 11 pieces in football. But the german’s on other hand too have matched class and are also not the ones who could lose easily. The game against Croatia might be a dissapointing one but still that wasnt the German’s that we usually see.
For this match,Frings is out with his broken rib and chances of Podolski are looking lame. But as the old saying goes “Never write off the Germans.”They still have likes of Ballack and Klose to change things any time. So with the game so much to show,History prevails with Germans while form with Portuguese.Had Ronaldo been out or injured i would have bet for Germans but that kid can turn any match any time.So its Portgual from my side . 1-2 (Portugal wins )
