You may be feeling disappointment, but have some respect, man. SAF is a genius and good for him for standing up against all the players you mentioned. We scored many more goals last season without RVN. We'll be fine. It's fickle fans like you that give MU fans a bad name.

It's obviously if we go back to last season. We'll see why many goals came from Ronaldo. Rooney was lonely upfront which is very difficult task for every striker, but Roon did it great. Ronaldo would always run at defender with his skills and find a way to score when Roon was marked. It worked he scored bad of goals.

The question is if we don't have Rooney and Ronaldo on the pitch, what would we do?

I think SAF did try strengthened the midfield area and it works. Man Utd have many good midfielders this season. They have been created tons of chance, but NO SCORE!? Last jigsaw was a STRIKER and SAF chosen Tevez.

Nothing's wrong with Tevez. He's good, but as I said every striker would find it difficult to play lonely upfront, especially in the box. Even Rooney'd prefer to shoot from the edge because he has space. Forget about scoring from his head. He's not tall...also tevez.

Now Man Utd don't have Ronaldo and Rooney. The way 4-5-1 they used to play is not working anymore. And I don't think the board would invest more money to buy more player. I would say 4-4-2 would be the best formation now.

Tevez/Campbell

Giggs/Hargreaves/Scholes/Fletcher(Not good enough but no choice, focus on crossing)

Evra(can be a winger)/Ferdinand/Vidic/Brown(Not good enough but no choice)

Subs:
Carrick
Nani or Dong(Give him a try)
Eagle(good at Att. Mid but can be a winger)
Silvestre
GK(whoever)
