Manchester United FC - Birmingham City FC preview

After a rather hectic personal week, I can not say that I am not thrilled to be back here, especially with the start of the Premier League 2009-2010 in front of us. Months of waiting have finally come to an end and starting Sunday at 13.30 we will be able to cheer up our favourite Red Devils again in the hope to win an unprecedented fourth Premier League title in a raw.

Other than last Sunday’s disastrous end to the Community Shield our pre-season has been rather psoitive with only one lost game, in Munich. Continue reading »

community-shieldTomorrow it is that far again and the new season kicks off with the Community Shield for both Manchester United and Chelsea FC.

After a successful pre-season now the fun is over and a new long and hopefully glamorous seasons awaits the Red Devils, with the kick off at 15.00 at Wembley in London.
For the second time in 3 Community Shields only we face Chelsea at the start of the season. I would gladly sign to start the Season in the same manner and there is something special about taking spot kicks against the Londoner Rent Boys. Continue reading »

I dont know whether its 100% sure or to be taken in correct sense but Vida’s mouth just spoke something that he was keeping inside himself for long time.Telegraph went on too harsh with quoting a headline saying “I will not stay at United
Quotes from Vidic’s Interview

I will never stay to live in England, that’s for sure. You get only a brief glimpse of sunlight before it’s all cloudy again. The winters are mild, but in summer the temperatures seldom go higher than 20C. And it rains, rains, rains.
In future, I would like to test myself in another top league. I’m thinking of Spain. At least there will be no reason to complain about the weather. In England, they say that Manchester is the city of rain. Its main attraction is considered to be the timetable at the railway station, where trains leave for other, less rainy cities.Throughout the week they all work so hard. They only talk to people at lunch break. Then in the evening they come home and watch the telly, so they can get up early for work the next day.
The only time to meet friends is at weekends, but for football players it’s the busiest time of all. It was much easier for me to adapt to Russia than England. In England I had no one to talk to. The first month was especially hard. I lived alone in a hotel, which I left only for training. I thought I would go crazy inside those four walls”.

After like United went serious with the article it was changed into different manner saying

I’d like to clarify that I did not make these particular remarks. I spoke about the difficulty I had settling in to life in Manchester, but that does not reflect how I feel now.

“I enjoy my life very much as a footballer at Manchester United and I’m very happy to be a part of this great club. I think I show that in the way I play every week. I also have far too much respect for the people of Manchester, and England, to criticize them in this way

Well whatever he blurted out first may be correct to some extend for him.To be honest England does have a bad weather but that don’t mean it sucks.Actually he needs a walk around The Lake District and a small party at Knutsford. It’s more than heaven for me. :P
This are still not cleared with his words cause somewhere Vidic is denying such talks.

Mean while, Fergie is confirming that he won’t be playing easy against Zenith FC.The team will be strong and Fergie’s men will enter the game with intentions to win. This will be one of a kind experience to all of them while majority will be playing this for first time.Match is on 29 August which kinda ruins my Friday night. :P

Also, with Super Cup Hargo will try to bring his form back. There’s enough break for him now and he needs to get back regular with United. We all now his injury problems since his days with Munich but his commitment and sincerity over shadows his flaws.

Whats happening is that possible.I mean does superman too falls sick.Well its hard to believe but our strong man has fallen down with a virus.Reports say that his family is too suffering from a bad virus.Ferguson too spoke about this after match that “he was down with bad virus and his health his quite poor”.

Vidic who missed his last match against Tottenham is likely to recover before the Pompey match.I did miss him the most when Tottenham scored their first goal while Wes Brown was busy watching the move.

Vidic is United second for maximum starts of the game just one game behind Ferdinand’s total of 29. He has only missed 4 matches of the season prior the Sunday’s clash.

(PS: Dont worry Gunners the new pairs of Fab’s Leg will last longer.) :P

United’s in form defender E. Vidic is likely to miss is match against Bolton on Saturday.

All Euro qualifiers games were postponed to later Sunday after bad weather and heavy snow covered major parts of Belgrade.A reported 6inch of snow was covered all around the pitch which made practically impossible to conduct the game. Continue reading »

Neville and VDS CelebrateAfter Saturday’s amazing second half display, SAF must be a happy man. Not only because of our 6 consecutive victories in the League, or the 8 consecutive clean sheets victories UCL games included, but most of all because of the international break.
A much needed break for ManU.

ManU has been one of the biggest victims in this season start when it comes to injuries, with almost a complete squad sidelined and this week could be the first time Alex actually IS happy because of an international break. Most of the time this means that OT is almost empty and between 15 and 20 players leave Manchester to train with and play for their national team, but this time things are different.
This time many players won’t play in their national kit, but will enjoy the almost two weeks to recover from injury and return entirely fit for the clash with Aston Villa on Saturday 20th October.

ManUtd - Roma Score BoardOn Tuesday, Roma comes to OT again and we’ll have another chance to get in our rhythm, hopefully scoring more goals this time. Last season we’ve beaten Roma 7-1 in the replay of the UCL quarter finals, but chances that we’ll repeat this royal beating are rather slim. Not because we don’t have the talent to so, but more because those monster scores are rather exceptional and repeating that performance would be a unique performance.

After VDS’s toe injury, SAF faces other defensive problems, with both Vidic and Brown having missed today’s training session. Both defenders received a knock and Fergie mentioned Pique would be the obvious replacement for Vidic or Brown.
Last weekend, our Boss hinted at youngsters being allowed to leave OT and pick up match rhythm. The poor performance of our talented junior squad against Coventry resulted in Ferguson stating that Pique and Danny Simpson could be useful for the first squad. What does this mean for Dong, Evans, Eagles (who played several times already this season) and Lee Martin?

ManU - Chelsea preview header image

Tomorrow, a small club travels to OT, for what could be one of the most important games of the Premiership for ManU this year.

Only 2 games ago, we were 5 points behind Chelsea. In what has become a dramatic 4 weeks for the bunch of foreigners Londoners, we have have closed the gap and could run away from Chelsea.
And things look good for us: we’ve won four times in a row, which certainly will boost our confidence, and Chelsea just sacked their master tactician, Jose Mourinho.

Everton - ManUtd Result Image

Another win. And that’s about everything positive that can be said about today’s game to be honest.
Obviously the 2 week long international break has taken the harmony out of our quick passing game and we surely will have to gear up some if we want to start the Champions League with a positive result.

Again, our defense stood solid, really solid, with Nemanja Vidic, who scored the winning goal in the 84th minute as best performer for ManU today.
Like in almost every other game, again we had several (read: a few) outstanding chances, the best one for Scholes, after a brilliant one-two with Tevez, but Scholes didn’t have the needed killer-instinct today and his volley went over. Tevez himself also had 2 chances, both wide-range shots, but the first time Wessels stood in the way, the second shot went narrowly over.
