The start of the season is finally there and we have had a rather quiet silly season, other than being rumoured to have been interested in everyone who can kick a ball and has a high price tag. Pretty much like Harry Redknapp during every break but it seems that all our signings were done since a long time and chances of anyone other than Chris Smalling and Javier Hernandez joining the ranks are rather slim. And just like last year, it doesn’t matter because our squad *is* strong already and the two only signings we made were sensible ones.

Last year I said:

Contrary to what most people have announced, we do not need any more new signings because ManUtd is already a stronger squad than last season, even after CR7 and Tevez left Old Trafford.
With the arrival of the talented Gabriel Obertan, Michael Owen, who signed on a free and Antonio Valencia’s arrival times certainly look great for the Red Devils.

Although at many times last season our vulnerabilities have been exploited, we must be honest and admit that the squad wasn’t weaker due to the departure of Cryboy and the Gelled Tumbler. What did happen though was that we struggled once more with a huge amount of injuries and these cost us lots. And to be honest, if I see one problem this season it’s in the defensive department again.

In a press conference at OT Sir Alex Ferguson presented the new signings and announced that ManUtd will not be spending any more money this summer.

There is no doubt that we will see a different United, still as fast and dangerous on the breakout but our attack will be different. There where Ronaldo loved to keep the ball and try to score as often as possible, his assist rate was rather one-sided and he would only pass when on the break out. Only seldom did he pass to Rooney or Berbatov when we had pushed the opponent in their 16 and were trying to find an opening. Continue reading »

costa

After initial negotiations for the Brazilian U20 international Douglas Costa were reported to have failed, a move seems to come closer every day now. ManUtd was said to offer the Brazilian a 3 weeks trial before wanting to finalize a move, but Gremio considered the player, who’s hailed as the new Robinho too good for a trial. Initial reports hinted at a £12m offer for the international but Gremio is holding out for around £20, close to the buy-out clause in the youngster’s contract. Negotiations are on going but we know the line, SAF gets who he wants. Continue reading »

eto

This comes from the most unreliable and untrustworthy source, The News of the World. I do not know if I even should take this serious on a Sunday morning, to me it seems like the perfect Sunday morning transfer talk rumour, but NOTW says that SAF is preparing a £25m bid for Cameroun striker Samuel Eto’o. What makes this rumour more unbelievable even is the mentioned £150k/week which would make the Barcelona striker the best player at ManUtd from his first day and be more then the £130k/week CR7 earned.

Eto’o has been mentioned in rumours in the past and he certainly would be a welcome addition to our (to any) squad, funnier even would be to snatch him from under the megamillions from Eastland, but with many titles and Champions League football that obviously isn’t too hard if the other town club only a blue carpet on offer has in the trophy room. Still I do not see it happen and will classify this as a typical ‘NOTW Sunday morning sensation entry’. If there’s any truth about this news, I will obviously welcome Samuel Eto’o with the biggest passion! ;)

The week full of stories and new more coming, we just have stay back and watch what these managers are baking in their heads. Massive signings from Real and  others its high time that we snatch players rather than to start a new tale for press.

Well first with Benzema, it was kind of impossible to take him away from Real.Zidane been one of the factor and also his no interest with our team. Huntelaar was also kind of same. It was pretty much sure that both these products were out of our reach compared to how we were approaching them.
I remember how Fergie used to handle new signings and making pretty sure that they don’t land else where but United. The brand name itself was the factor. For now all the big guns are in our rumor pages.
For now, according to latest news there’s one more to add on United’s misery. A.Madrid has disclosed that no attempt or any kind of offers have been made from United. And as such they are not interested in dealing their best players out of them. Also considering that , Augero doesn’t seem to be enticed with English clubs with his conference and has not shown any kind of gestures to our friendly hand. Rumours had that United were about to trade Augero with Nani plus 30 million in addition. But thats rumour and nothing new for united.
That keeps United up for search of a new strike partner .For now Augero looks too distant from OT.
So its yet another big name story  with United but nothing really looking on  deal. This has been the tale with United past season and it kind of looks scary.

PS:-Thank you,Franky from taking where i left.I hope to have good time with u.

aguero

Real Madrid have accepted a £19m bid from VFB Stuttgart for Klaas Jan Huntelaar, the deal depending on the Dutch striker to decide on his future and where he wants to go. After yesterdays rumours around the massively expensive Argentinean international Aguero the question now is ‘Huntelaar or Aguero, with or without Berbatov’?

Huntelaar is several years older than Aguero and has only experienced the Dutch League before his 6 rather successful months at Real Madrid (40% strike rate over 20 appearances). Sergio Aguero is 5 years younger but almost 3 times as expensive. Where’s the difference and who would we prefer at Old Trafford? Can we do without Berbatov’s assists?

I think only SAF will be able to decide this one but as far as I’m concerned my preferences go to the Argentinean international. He’s fast on the counter and although very often he will penetrate too deep he still seems to have the eye for the incoming striker. Huntelaar from his part has a much more powerful shot from the second line, something we have missed ever since the glory days of Paul Scholes. Something Benzema could have brought us, but also something we can expect from Michael Carrick when he finally discovers his distance shot again. Continue reading »

aguero

Another day, another international rising superstar rumour. This time the rumour kitchen brings us the news of a tabbed offer for the services of Sergio Aguero. SAF is said to have offered £18m PLUS Berbatov to secure the Spanish 21 year old international, who is understood to have a £50m buy-out clause. So far none of these Spanish rumours have been confirmed and to me it seems very doubtful that SAF would sacrifice the mainly by himself highly hyped Bulgarian international.

So far Atletico Madrid have always maintained that Aguero not for sale is so it seems unlikely that a cash plus player deal could be sufficient, especially considered the difference in age between Aguero and Berbatov.

On that note though, I do think that Berba would be a lot more efficient in the Primera Division than he has been for us so far. The more open game in Spain definitely suits his game better than pushing the opponent against the wall and hope to find that small hole and score like we love to do at ManUtd.

Do we want Aguero? Heck yes! He would give every defense a run for their money and soon EPL fans would have forgotten about freckle boy Torres! I would love to see Sergio Aguero be part of our squad but I don’t see it happen.

ibrahimovic

Rumours are about that SAF might make a swoop for the 27 year old Swedish star. More than once over the last weeks it has been rumoured that Mourinho/Inter Milan would allow the 2008-2009 topscorer of the Serie A to leave for the correct amount. Speculation is that SAF is ready to offer £30m for Zlatan Ibrahimović.

Ibrahimović club track record

1999 – 2001: Malmö – 40 appearances – 16 goals (40% strike rate)
2001 – 2004: Ajax – 74 appearances – 35 goals (47% strike rate)
2004 – 2006: Juventus – 70 appearances – 23 goals (33% strike rate)
2006 – present: Internazionale – 88 appearances – 57 goals (65% strike rate)
Total: 272 appearances – 131 goals (48% strike rate)

Those are very impressive stats, better than Michael Owen’s track record. Zlatan won the Capocannoniere, Italian domestic top scorer title, in 2009 with 25 goals.
Another thing not to forget about the Swede is that he is 6’31⁄2″ tall.

What do you think guys?

After the jump Zlatan’s amazing “Goal of the Year 2008″ against Bologna FC.

This Euro for Russians was a fine time.Getting qualified after so long time and also ending so close to the cup.Besides few unknown players, namely that tall striker there was one guy who stole my heart. For me it was more of Arshavin than Russians.Though he wasn’t the only one responsible for there triumph but certainly had a big hand.Russia eventually managed them a spot in semi’s,though loosing against Spain. It was end of Russians campaign and a beginning for this kid.
Ever since the Ronaldo page has been spotted i always keep up getting an image of the next Jersey 7 player and United’s new hero.Already we are saturated with Heroes so lets say a mid-fielder.For now , i hardly am getting any good ones or sorted on in my head.I was eying Ramos for few times but then i had a reminisce of Gary Neville game and felt its better with him than improving Real relations..Besides that its not that good players are not present any where but the players surrounded with less lime-light are few to count and one of them is Arshavin.
