According to media reports Real Madrid might sell several of it’s Dutch stars after President Perez claimed that the Spanish squad needs has become to large and needs to be trimmed down. The cull could be as big as up to 10 players and Ruud van Nistelrooy, Arjen Robben, Wesley Sneijder, Rafael van der Vaart, Royston Drenthe and Klaas Jan Huntelaar are all tipped to depart the Spanish capital.
Should we be interested in any of these players, can they improve our squad?
After the signings of both Michael Owen and Antonia Valencia we might not need anyone anymore in the offensive department but questions will still rise and our need for a lethal striker hasn’t been filled yet. With RVN rumoured to be available, one can only wonder if he is the guy who could fill the hole and if Rooney and Berba could play together with the prolific Dutch striker. There is no doubt that these two players would be able to provide RVN with the needed amount of passes to terrorize every defense again and become top scorer once more in this country. But are burnt bridges recoverable?
Huntelaar has enjoyed a rather good first 6 months at Real with 8 goals in 20 appearances (40% strike rate) but might struggle to get time in the first squad after the arrival of Kaka, Ronaldo and Benzema. He is rumoured to be loaned out to Milan. With all the talk about Ribery, I always wonder why the name of former Chelsea star Arjen Robben isn’t mentioned. I have always been a fan of the fast, dribbling winger. I admit he has often struggled with injuries but our the medical staff at OT has more than once performed wonders() and Robben fits our game. Plus… he regularly scores.
Do we need someone else for our squad? Should we look to improve other departments? Defense or defensive midfield?

I would absolutely love to see Ruud return to our squad, but I’m not so sure Sir Alex would be up for that. I just recall the waning months of his previous years with Man Utd were not civil between RVN and Ferguson, with RVN being benched for some of the matches that he was with our squad for. RVN’s stint with Real was also overshadowed by a serious injury, so with all of these current circumstances, I rather doubt Ferguson would go in Nistelrooy’s direction. I think Robben is a serious possibility though. With the departure of Ronaldo, and the looming Scholes deal with Everton, we will be in need of strong midfield prescences. Hopefully Robben and maybe Huntelaar will be considered for transfer. I would also like to see Ferguson go after Alessandro Pirlo however.
i seriously want the red devils to sign ”klass jan huntelaar” … n i would suggest them to sign even ben arfa from marseill.. he’s a gud young frenchman …..
Definitely klaas jan huntelaar. If we get him and sergio ageuro that will do for summer
sneijder and robben would be great buys, however i dont see us getting both, if i were to choose i would pick robben, hes fast, skillfull and a LEFT winger which is something we dont have, buying robben will benefit us in two ways, he will be as good as a replacement we,re going to get for ronaldo, and it also lessons the chances of putting rooney out wide(where he is totally ineffective)
