Manchester United striker David Bellion will complete a permanent move to Nice on 1 July for an undisclosed sum.
The 23-year-old joined Nice on loan in January and will go back to his native France after failing to seal a regular first-team place at Old Trafford.
Bellion joined United in a deal believed to be worth 2m from Sunderland in July 2003.
“Everyone at the club wishes David all the best in his future career,” said a United statement on MUTV.
Bellion made 22 appearances in his first season at United and scored three goals.
He netted five times in 18 appearances last term but failed to convince manager Sir Alex Ferguson of his credentials and, after a loan spell at West Ham earlier this season, moved to Nice.
It will be no surprise to Man United fans, who have become used to the emerging Kieron Richardson and energetic Ji-Sung Park, players who both play in that supporting sriker’s role that Bellion would have coveted.
