Ronaldo stands as No.1 Contender for this year’s Ballon d’Or

October 25, 2008 By Redhead

Last season was quite close but i dont think it will be same this season.Ronaldo’s out-stretching efforts for making United win Champions league and EPL is surely putting him ahead in the race.Kaka who won this award last year says that Ronaldo is surely the winner this time.”I like Messi’s game and he’s a good player. But he hasn’t done for the club and country as much as Ronaldo.I think he deserves to win this time.”

The Ballon d’Or is voted for by 96 journalists from around the world for their outstanding plays in Club and Country. This year Ronaldinho and O’Herny both has lost their spot in their list after being absent almost whole season.

11 players have been shortlisted from EPL which includes Vidic ,Rooney, and  Van De Sar.I was expecting Ferdinand to be present or atleast Anderson after having  Drogba in list.Played pathetic last season and made Chelsea lose CL,still managed to get in.Bizzare!!
