Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar wants to play on at Old Trafford for another two seasons.
The 35-year-old Dutchman is in the final year of his contract and United have recently signed Polish keeper Tomasz Kuszczak for 4m from West Brom.
“I don’t know how long I will continue but it should be at least another two years,” said Van der Sar in the news.
“I enjoy myself in Manchester. Things are going well, I am happy and there is no reason to think of anything else.”
Van der Sar signed for United from Fulham in a 2m deal last summer and made a big impression in his first season at the club.
United have also won their first three league games this season and the former Juventus stopper is delighted with the start.
“The more you win in the beginning, the more chance there is of being top, which is where we want to be,” added Van der Sar.
“It also means there is less impact when you eventually lose. It was a great boost to us when we heard Chelsea had lost the other night but we have not played many matches yet and there is still a long, long way to go.”
