Match Report :
Manchester United keeps their flair on high by winning another home match with 2 goals against Mark Hughes’s Blackburn .Black Burn have been most entertaining opponents at Old Trafford by now, making the game a little unexpected. Two goals from Ronaldo were the only highlights of game with couple of yellow cards to the resilient Blackburn side.United are right on top of table ,just ahead of Arsenal who are still intact with 2 game advantage.
As expected the game was right on strive from first minute.Tevez coming close to Blackburn’s bay on 3th minute making nervous time for keeper Brad Friedel.Tevez kept on his fine pace and delivered another shot back testing the American on 6th minute.Match then looked in control as United kept high part of possession with few clumsy Blackburn. It looked as if the initial attacks petrified Blackburn side and didnt seemed to get occupied on Trafford. After progressing from first 10 minutes both team sharing almost same ball possession with Blackburn making Van der Sar work on few occassions. The best chance for Blackburn came from Christopher Samba’s free kick on 18 minute with ball kissing the air above the cross bar.United too with a free kick but Ronaldo blasting way above the post. The game was still swinging both sides sharing equal advantage until Ronaldo started to feel the heat.Just in matter on minutes he scored two beautiful goals taking Rovers by suprise.First goal coming from header of flighted Giggs corner on 34 minutes and in less than 90 seconds scoring another with combined efforts of Tevez and Saha. With 2 goals in quick succession and quality possession made home win more obvious. The misery continued for Rovers as Dunn was sent off on 53 minute after tackles on Tevez and Saha. Many expected for another 4 goal party as match had 40+minutes remaining and opponents reduced to 10 men.Though no more goals coming after. In dying minutes of game Ronaldo was booked for a awkward push on Nelsen of which he ended on crashing with advertising boards.Game ended with an easy win for which we worked hard.Playing against Blackburn was more like UFEA matches, unexpected and tenacious.Premiership with such improvements are sure making one of the toughest leagues in world. For moment i am enjoying the apex of Premiership.
Match notes:
Anderson:Match by Match he has shown improvements.Gifted with both feets he keeps on suprising everyone with his skills.Holding and guiding the ball in desired direction makes him unpredictable. He along with Hargreaves are making united’s midfield as strongest factor.Anderson seems more natural with switching wings working Ronaldo and Giggs both very well.Since Roy Keane United suffered from players who were capable of holding the game in midfield and providing necessary breakthroughs.Anderson with very minimal fouls and tackles has managed keeping ball in possession. No suprises if he gets nominated for this times Young Footballer of Year.
Evra:Since departure of Heinze,Evra has been on regular terms on left wing.Running from top to bottom he looks more like an natural winger with expectional crosses. His pace and tackles are making United’s left side with more security.
Giggs:I wasnt expecting Giggs to play today’s match when you are playing without Rooney.Nani has always been my first choice for left flack instead for Giggs. But after todays match i felt the reason why Ferguson still believes on his fledglings.Giggs still needs to stay at United to pass those words of wisdom.Giggs was one of the my favorite player. Had it not been for Ronaldo Giggs was sure for man of the match. Archithect for first goal and making majority of United’s move he had fantastic evening.
Ronaldo:””MAN OF THE MATCH””
