supporting our team through thick and thin....

SAF says no more signings this summer. Does it matter? No, because we ARE a stronger squad already.

In a press conference at OT Sir Alex Ferguson presented the new signings and announced that ManUtd will not be spending any more money this summer.

Contrary to what most people have announced, we do not need any more new signings because MAnUtd is already a stronger squad than last season, even after CR7 and Tevez left Old Trafford.
With the arrival of the talented Gabriel Obertan, Michael Owen, who signed on a free and Antonio Valencia‘s arrival times certainly look great for the Red Devils.

There is no doubt that we will see a different United, still as fast and dangerous on the breakout but our attack will be different. There where Ronaldo loved to keep the ball and try to score as often as possible, his assist rate was rather one-sided and he would only pass when on the break out. Only seldom did he pass to Rooney or Berbatov when we had pushed the opponent in their 16 and were trying to find an opening. [Read more…]

Sean McGinty and Obertan complete moves to Old Trafford

Sean McGinty

Sean McGinty, a 15 year old talent has completed his dream move from Charlton to Manchester United. After 3 years at Charlton he had played for their Under 18 and Reserves squads already.

Gabriel Obertan also completed his move to ManUtd and signed a 4 your contract with the Red Devils. Obertan will miss the pre-season and tour to Asia due to an injury.

So far SAF has signed three players: a 23 year Ecuadorian international, a French Under 21 international and an English 15 year old talent. Who’s next? Huntelaar for £20m?

Gabriel Obertan to have medical. Fee around £3m?

July 7, 2009 By Franky

Gabriel Obertan, who we reported about yesterday, is said to have a medical at OT. The fee is reported to be around £3m. I bet Wenger must be upset now SAF pulls ‘a Wenger’ and signs an obscure, not too known, French talent for a rather low price.

ManUtd linked with Gabriel Obertan. Gabriel who???

July 7, 2009 By Franky

obertanAccording to the media our team will be extended with the French 20 years old Gabriel Obertan. My first reaction was: Gabriel who and I bet we all think that when hearing the name???

The guy has been a member of Bordeaux since 2006 and has played 54 games for the Girondins, while scoring 3 times. In 2009 former ManUtd player Laurent Blanc, now Manager over at Bordeaux, decided to loan him out to Lorient, French Ligue 1 ((Like the Championship for France)) team and there he has played 8 games and scored 1.

Obertan is said to be a winger who can also play as striker or in the midfield. He is rumoured to have attracted the attention of Arsenal and Inter as well. I think that Jean-Louis Triaud , President of Bordeaux, had translation problems when he declared that we were on the verge of signing Obertan and actually meant the other Manchester.

UPDATE: Obertan said to have medical at ManUtd.
