The Arabs Need A Translator, Hughes Needs A Calculator

October 23, 2009 By Franky

mark-hughesIf you thought that the Abu Dhabi family’s problems could have been made easier with the help of a decent translator, which could have saved them the embarrassment of buying a team without own stadium, you’ll have to think again.

Not only do the multi-billionaires have to live up that error now it also seems that they will have to send their manager to ground school again. Former ManUtd legend Mark Hughes admitted that he will keep an eye on the game at Anfield on Sunday ((Who will not, especially since no other game is played at the same time)) but contrarily to other seasons this time he will look at the result in the hope that one team might drop points and improve Citeh’s position. According to the greying Welsh man top 4 teams seem to perform worse than in previous seasons:

When we go up against the top four teams, if we can do our work and take points off them, then that will help us in terms of the ambitions we have,” he added

Manchester United FC - Birmingham City FC preview

After a rather hectic personal week, I can not say that I am not thrilled to be back here, especially with the start of the Premier League 2009-2010 in front of us. Months of waiting have finally come to an end and starting Sunday at 13.30 we will be able to cheer up our favourite Red Devils again in the hope to win an unprecedented fourth Premier League title in a raw.

Other than last Sunday’s disastrous end to the Community Shield ((More about that tomorrow, Saturday)) our pre-season has been rather psoitive with only one lost game, in Munich. [Read more…]

Yet another victory,Boro 0-2 Manchester United

May 4, 2009 By Redhead

Arsenal match was just good enough for us to sail through Champions league finals, yesterday’s was just good enough to get United adequate 3 points. This puts us 6 points ahead with only 4 games to go.

As expected,Fergie wasn’t going to leave any boots off for taking Boro at their park. There was no way he was going with lesser artiliary though we gambled out  Ronaldo and Carrick. The game started better with Southgate’s men.United’s mood kept swinging as we kept contracting every moment.Well the urge was pulled by Giggs and he pumped United with some air with his first goal.Pushing United ahead on 25th minute with his vintage play. Our recently crowned PFA player did just enough to cruise the ball in corner putting United ahead with one goal.
Well this could have been an alarm for Boro but this all was more petriying for them. The game suddenly took hault from their side and it was looking another easy game for United as they kept rolling smoothly. While was Rooney was slicing boro’s defense in piece a goal was about to come in minutes with his vicious crosses. In early second half,Rooney passed the defense to which he guided Park his first and United’s second goal for the match.A piece of his master class and yet one more reason why he should stop playing as a striker.Boro then kept United on their heels with small one-two attacks which United easily took on their heads.Johnny Evans making sure United secures another clean sheet with a hard tackle over Alves in dying minutes.
A relatively easy game for United after what it could have taken tp win from a A class team running in relegation. All in all 3 decent points putting United inch closer to another epic.

The fixture that will be next is going to be against Arsenal in Champions league second leg.Playing away against Arsenal will be by far Fergie’s toughest encounter for this season.I not judging on Arsenal’s player but what this fixture holds for both the teams.Wenger’s men are almost without any trophies for past couple of years and this doesn’t seem any better to snatch a catch.United however isn’t going to feed easy breads for Wenger. If we win,we are likely to face in form Barca at Rome. There no chance that Chelsea can pass through this manmoth team.So that leaves us with barca at finals.A real Messi-Ronaldo fight.Lets hope we become first team to regain this holy grail of European Football.
