Our favourite baby’s done it again. Once more he forgets to use his brain and slammed SAF. Carlos Tevez that is, who else?
“Ferguson is history for me but I know that he is scared of playing against us,” the striker told Globoesporte.
“It’s dangerous for Ferguson’s objectives and for him to criticise Manchester City.”
Here’s a wake up call for Tevez: why would Ferguson, who once faced the sack and since then conquered the Premier League and won 3 European titles, triumphing over Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Chelsea, all while equalizing Liverpool’s League record be scared of a team with lots of money? Who had ever thought that the guy who once swore eternal loyalty to OT, AKA as Carlito Tevez, would try to backstab our staff and Sir Alex Ferguson as much as is happening nowadays?
Earlier this year the Argentinean said this about Manchester United and the backroom staff:
From the moment I arrived, he has treated me with respect as a person. His greatest quality is that, for him, there are no star players – everyone is equal, whether they cost many millions or are a young player who hasn’t played many times for the team. When I see him work he reminds me of Carlos Bianchi, who was my coach at Boca Juniors in Argentina. Both have had a big influence on my career, and both know how to treat people.
There was no sign about him wanting to leave but then the public whining started, mainly whenever he left the pitch. Outcries to the fans became more and more obvious and it started to become clear that he would leave. In June the news broke that he was offered a new 5 year deal at £120k/week, which he refused. Yesterday when he was announced at the Council House he said what his reason to leave Old Trafford were: Continue reading »

Posted July 14th, 2009 by Franky in Quotes, That's How The Day Ended

BBC Sport’s Chief football writer Phil McNulty has the best analysis around Tevez’s importance for ManUtd and Man City now the Argentinean has agreed a deal worth £150k/week at Eastlands and around £25m to put his pen down on said paper.
The absence of Tevez, as well as the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, makes more room in the middle for Wayne Rooney – a superior talent and goalscorer to the Argentina international.
This, however, does not make him a questionable purchase by Hughes. He is an upgrade on what City currently have and he will be at a club where – and even Eastlands fans must recognise this – aspirations and expectations are currently on an entirely different level.
Would a huge outlay on Tevez have taken United on to another level? No. Will a huge outlay on Tevez improve City and help them towards their eventual target? Every chance. This alone makes perfect sense of City’s new signing.
He fulfils two time-honoured transfer criteria. Is he better than what City currently have? Can they afford him? Yes, and most emphatically yes.
McNulty correctly outlines that A. Tevez wasn’t worth the money to assure a stay at OT and B. ManUtd have a superior talent, Wayne Rooney, already.

By now panic must start to set in at the Council House. Other than the signing of Roque Santa Cruz, and Gareth Barry who could not wait for an offer from Rafa but chose for the big bucks, nothing much has happened. Other than failures.
City are said to make a THIRD approach for John Terry with a staggering £40m offer for the international, even though Ancelotti already claimed that Terry is going nowhere. Over here at ManUtd Blog we love JT because he’s always good for some funny lines or slippery. JT certainly is a great defender but one has to wonder if the international £40m worth is. Especially since City seems to aim at Champions League football any time soon but still struggles in the offensive department. Last season the skyblues managed to capture a player who went signed for the wrong squad and for a long time didn’t show his immense talent because of the attitude ‘We’ll never win anything’. So we finally get it.May be the first game wasn’t the perfect one to start off.Narrow chase but we finally made it.The game proved how strong we can get in most delicate situations.Hardly with our full team strength we pulled out results against team who was recently trashed for heavy goals and was full of rage.
Taking Portsmouth at home isn’t most delicious games for any team which we known in past. But still we did pretty well.Even missing genuine wingers Evra and Fletcher did the most with flanks.Fletcher apart from providing the sole goal turned out to be hero second time for us.His role and presence his working out well for United. United likely going on top for few hours
First time after 4 weeks United will go back on top if we get a successful result at Derby.Arsenal wont be playing before us so,we will be at top again for a while.Apart from that Derby is facing one of the biggest losing record. They are currently at the bottom of the league and a win also will keep them motionless out of that position. Match Report
Aston Villa 1 Manchester United 4
Wayne Rooney struck twice and missed a penalty as Manchester United eased to victory against nine-man Aston Villa. Gabriel Agbonlahor headed Villa into an early lead, but Rooney’s two composed finishes put United in front. Craig Gardner’s own goal gave United a third before half-time, and Nigel Reo-Coker was sent off on the hour. Keeper Scott Carson followed for a foul on Carlos Tevez, and even though Stuart Taylor saved Rooney’s spot-kick, Ryan Giggs added a deflected fourth.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson rested Cristiano Ronaldo and gave fellow countryman Nani a place in the starting line-up. Villa opened brightly and were ahead in the 11th minute when Ashley Young retrieved Gardner’s dangerous centre and crossed for Agbonlahor to flick a header beyond Edwin van der Sar. Tevez and Rooney looked a dangerous combination, and Carson did well to block the Argentine as the pressure mounted. But it took a lapse of concentration from Villa defender Zat Knight to allow United to draw level after 36 minutes.

4 Goals. 4 Goals in one half, the second half. Tevez, twice Ronaldo and Rooney.
2 more injuries in the first 30 minutes: Vidic and O’Shea.
3 Penalties not awarded.
Another clean sheet: number 6 in the Prem, number 8 in a row.
Tevez clearly best player on the pitch, closel followed by Ronaldo.
ManU at the top of the table for at least the next 24 hours. I think the lads has given a warning to the other 3 big teams. ManU top favourite for the title again… who’s going to stop this rolling train? High speed train.
I think that’s the perfect resume of today’s game against Wigan.
Live report after the jump.
